Overview

Guidance for Video Analytics Infrastructure on AWS handles the heavy lifting of setting up AWS IoT Core (IoT Core) and Amazon Kinesis Video Stream (KVS) on edge devices and in the cloud to provide the infrastructure for video analytics applications. The guidance provides default features and optional features. Default features are available out-of-the-box once resources in the GitHub deployment folder are deployed successfully. Optional features are provided in the sample code. Customers need to integrate the sample code into the Guidance for the optional features to function.

Optional features:

  • Query inference data stored in Amazon OpenSearch Service

  • Export video stored on cloud for end users to download
  • Remote operations. Such as reboot device and device firmware update
  • Remote configurations. Such as configure image settings and AI settings on device
  • Device state management
  • Device resources clean up

Instructions to run default features

See Guidance for Video Analytics Infrastructure on AWS within AWS’s Github repository aws-solutions-library-samples for instructions to run default features of the guidance.
